ROBIN FALLAY, HUNDREDS DECLARE FOR SLPP

Hon. Robin Faley and SLPP Stakeholders in Kailahun District

Popular political stalwart, Hon. Robin Fallay together with thousands of former All People’s Congress (APC) members and supporters have on Saturday 21st May 2022 declared for the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). It could be recalled that the Former Hon. Joined the APC in 2012 and held the rank of Publicity Secretary ll for the APC. The ceremony, which attracted thousands of residents across the Njaluahun Chiefdom and Kailahun District, was held at the Segbwema Court Barray.

In his welcome address, the chairman for Constituency 008, Nelson Lahai said Hon Robin Fallay has returned together with his followers. He assured that the party has wholeheartedly accepted them and would forever embrace them.

The chairman of the ceremony, Gbessay Jusu Ngobeh, who also doubles as chairman SLPP Kailahun District said the event was very spectacular. Receiving Hon Robin Fallay and his people, he said, was very very important. In my capacity as Chairman SLPP Kailahun District, I welcome you all” he stated and asked the people to unite and embrace one another as President Bio has a lot of opportunities.

He recalled several political instances between him and Robin and hugged him for the brave step.  The chairman insisted that Hon Robin Fallay was not forced to declare and return to the SLPP.  According to the Chairman, Hon. Robin Fallay, is a strong politician and recalled that he got over three thousand votes under the banner of the APC in the last Parliamentary Election in that Constituency. He said such a declaration has never happened since the SLPP won the 2018 Election.

Chief Senesie Bebo’ Town Chief Taiama Section recalled that some time ago they all declared for APC, but today they are returning to SLPP with happiness. He informed that their declaration is based on the trend of development undertaken by the current Government. He said they are ready to cross over with Hon Robin Fallay. “On behalf of my people and myself we today returned to SLPP” he revealed.

Senior Town Chief, Pendembu Jebla Borbor Williams Wuseni their declaration was timely. According to him, they joined the APC for the sake of Hon Robin Fallay.

A young lady, Robin Angel recalled how they were trapped in cells in Kenema for alleged election registration of under age and nobody came to their rescue, causing them to join the APC. She measured several supports including payments of school fees and other progress done by Hon. Robin Fallay.

Town Chief of Segbwema Foday Lansana Kpewa who also doubles as head of all Chiefs in Njaluahun said, they love Hon Robin Fallay and they would always follow and support him.

Several other Chiefdom stakeholders representing various sections in the Constituency including women, Chiefs, youths declared for SLPP together with their families, relatives and friends and shouting in unison. Some of the disgruntled former APC supporters vehemently told the crowd that they are ready to die with Hon Robin Fallay, adding that they joined the APC on the request of the latter.

District Council Chairman for Kenema, Mohamed O, level Sesay said the event was remarkable and would improve the stance of the SLPP in the upcoming election for a non-second round.

Hon. Navo Kaikai recalled political challenges and advised all to continue to embrace one another to remain in the SLPP using the story of Hon Robin Fallay as an instance. “Robin, thank you so much for listening to us and coming back into the party” she concluded.

SLPP Kailahun Women’s Leader, Madam Damboi said Hon Robin Fallay is a strong political player and popular gassroot man.


The Deputy Minister of Technical and Higher Education said the ceremony was very unique and was a platform for Njaluahun unity. He said this move would help President Bio for a non run off.

In his declaration statement , Hon. Robin Fallay said the day was a different moment in his life. He informed me that he trusted his people and believed in consultation. He recalled that most of his people lost and made enemies for crossing over to APC. He informed that the voter registration allegation that overcame him, was a big conspiracy consisting of several stakeholders, causing him to abandon the SLPP.  
Hon Robin Fallay said he had enough to live, but joined politics to save his people. He spoke about Adebayor’s notorious obscenities which the APC has not denounced and the APC tribal tendency.

According to Hon Robin Fallay, his declaration predicates on ensuring that development returns to Njaluahun. He called on all stakeholders and prominent Njaluahun people to unite and embrace one another to promote development. “I apologize to whosoever I hurt during my APC course” he stated. He informed that it was timely for SLPP to consolidate amidst the upcoming 2023.  He appealed to all to support the MP and party for unity and development.
“I have formally declared for SLPP, my original political party,” he concluded.

Member of Parliament for Constituency 008 asked her people to embrace Hon Robin Fallay and informed them that they would not trap him again. According to her, Hon Robin is a fine and popular politician. She said with Hon Robin Fallay they would achieve their development agenda. She assured Hon Robin Fallay for an accomplishment and development and went on to ask all to put aside their personal grievances. “Robin Fallay you are welcome” she asked all to support by changing the narrative.

The sowei also denounced the APC mask devil and replaced it with new SLPP bondo devil. Official denial and rejection of hundreds of APC shirts, party cards and handing over SLPP party cards climaxed the ceremony.
