Africell SL presents NLe 250,000 to Housemates Salone Season 3 Winner

they announced the winner to home with NLe 250,000 and there was a promise that the winner has a trip to Dubai and that the promise had already being fulfilled by, Africell, Afrimoney, and AYV.

In fulfillment of their promise made a few months ago to the participants of Housemates Salone Season 3 (A Reality TV Show), one of the leading Mobile companies in Sierra Leone Africell, in collaboration with Africa Young Voices Television has on Friday 19 August at the Africell Headquarters in Freetown presented a check of NLe 250,000 to Juliana Conteh aka Julie Tombo as the Winner of Housemate Salone Season 3 and officially signed her as Afrimoney Brand New Ambassador.

In his opening statement, the Head of Event and Sponsorship, Africell, Abdul Aziz Kamara, said the occasion was the official signing of Juliana Conteh as a Brand New Ambassador for Afrimoney. Kamara noted that at Africell they value everyone, adding that they strive in making sure that they create opportunities for Sierra Leoneans to express themselves and by selling out the country in a very good image.

“We have a lot of untapped talents. If given the opportunity we know they will strive to make Mama Salone proud. This is the reason why we bring up such programs, reality TV programs to showcase and unearthed the next gems that we have and I’m sure we’ve seen how if we corporate collectively, Sierra Leone will be the winner in all of these and the day is a great day for our nation that promises made were fulfilled ” he admonished.

Giving a brief background of the Reality TV Show, the Media Manager of Africell, John Konteh, said they followed through with the promises and that day was a clear demonstration that they announced the winner to home with NLe 250,000 and there was a promise that the winner has a trip to Dubai and that the promise had already being fulfilled by, Africell, Afrimoney, and AYV.

“The show was not easy for us; we really went through a lot. So there was a lot of work behind the scenes, we had over a hundred people working behind the scenes, the sound engineers, and light guys too, the producers, so once we announced that auditions were going to be done, we asked people to apply. We saw great attraction not only locally but also internationally as well. For us, we saw that as a great push to brand Sierra Leone, not just about housemates, but getting people who’ve lived overseas refocused or redirected again their cameras to Sierra Leone. We attracted a lot of interest but offensively, we selected a few people who made scores, made the points to be part of the top sixty” he explained.

Speaking on behalf of AYV TV, Samuel Wise Bangura, said AYV they are always willing and ready to socially experiment with young people with any platform that is available and in any initiative presented to AYV, and for them is not about partnership or business but a family, noting that when they embarked on the journey they knew at the initial stage were not going to get it done successfully as an institution but they needed a partner like Africell.

Making the official statement, Africell Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Joe Abass Bangura, described the winner as a “unique superwoman”. He informed me that Season 3 has ended and they are planning to jump into Season 4 because the plan has gone on. He said Juliana’s accomplishments are supposed to be for every Sierra Leoneans, adding that nobody down in life cannot fight back.

Receiving the NLe 250,000 check, the Winner of Housemates Salone Season 3, Juliana Conteh expressed thanks and appreciation to Africell and AYV for taking her from the street and making her an eminent person. She said she came into the house with one focus, and that is to win the grand prize of the show.
